The Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence in collaboration with Gamma Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, is hosting its 4th Annual J. Denise McCrary Memorial Awareness Walk on Saturday, April 24, 2021. This year’s walk will be a virtual walk due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

During the week of April 19th -23rd supporters are asked to post their steps on the Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence Facebook page. On Saturday, April 24th at 10:00 a.m., a balloon release will be held at the Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence--adhering to COVID-19 GUIDELINES. This event will be live-streamed on Facebook.

 

The Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence serves disadvantaged children and youth through a developmental strategy that builds character, self-confidence, and competence in its members.  Members participate in an instructional and engaging After School Program and Summer Program.  The youth are taught skills and attitudes that enable them to succeed in school, in their communities, at home, and in their future adult lives.  The J. Denise McCrary Memorial Awareness Walk is a community awareness event where proceeds will go to The Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence to support the mission and goals of the organization. We cordially invite you to participate as a sponsor.  The Fort Valley Youth Center of Excellence is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit youth organization and all contributions are 100 percent tax-deductible:
